PERPLEX! MAGAZINE

I was asked by Elisabeth Klement & Jan Tomson to contribute a series of 3D illustrations for a one-off magazine for European Cultural Foundation and Castrum Peregrini about "difficult conversations" and the perplexed state of Europe. It is compiled of different contributions from writers, artists and thinkers about culture, art, histories and complexities of European identities in the current political climate.
The illustrations accompany an article about running. Movement is a vital part of life, and "movement" (of people, ideas, culture) is something essential to Europe and to this publication. The current entropic state of Europe is something I tried to capture while creating the aesthetics of the shoes, allowing them to deform, morph and inherit a similar state of flux.
